I went to the Mark Taper Forum tonight to see the play “Burn This” . I had no idea what it was going to be about since I scored these tickets last minute from a client of mine. It was so nice to do something different and finally get to see the Music Center downtown. I have been meaning to go but hadn’t gotten the chance until today. The whole area was gorgeous… I absolutely loved it.
Since I did theater class all throughout high school I was immediately excited when the play began. The theater is smaller and very intimate and our seats were perfect. All the memories of acting and putting on plays came rushing back to me and I realized how much I’ve missed watching and being a part of live theater.
The play was very enjoyable. The story was about the accidental death of a great dancer and how his roommates were coping with their loss. It was funny, emotional, and the actors did an amazing job of keeping the audience entertained. Each character was strong and unique.
