The MTV Movie Awards were completely lacking this year. I would not be surprised if ratings were at an all time low. I felt there were barely any celebrities at this thing. Paris and Nicky Hilton were there for Pete’s sake. Jennifer Aniston was there for the first 5 minutes and as soon as she won her award she peaced out. They kept flashing the cameras to what felt like the only celebs there… Josh Hutcherson, Emma Watson and that red head girl who I have no clue who she was. Maybe she was in The Help?? No idea. But they showed her so much you’d think she was Brad Pitt!! Poor MTV Movie Awards. Definitely not as great as they used to be. When 90% of the nominees don’t show up because they’d rather be doing other things it’s probably a sign that your awards show is not important anymore.
Why did I watch? Because I try to never miss any awards show and because it was recorded. If I wasn’t able to fast forward thru the commercials I would have given up watching during Russell Brands’ awful opening monologue.
