and it stresses me out.
Right now they are talking about food stamps. Apparently this republican woman feels the food stamp policy is getting out of hand and we’re taking care of poor people rather than forcing them to get jobs. The liberal man is saying poor people dont want to be on food stamps, they’d rather have a job, but they just can’t find a job.
Both valid points. They both strongly believe in what they are saying and they get very mad at each other when one raises different points. But what drives ME nuts is not knowing who is right. If we stopped giving people food stamps, would that force them to get out there and start working? Or would we just have thousands of more homeless people on the street? And if you had to look at a poor person in the face and say “rather than give you this food stamp, I’m going to wait for you to go find a job.” would half of these republicans be able to be that cold?
It’s never ending drama that politicians create every day just so they have something to talk about. Back and forth back and forth …. I just don’t enjoy watching people debate and discuss serious issues without a resolution. They talk in circles!! Never wanting to blame themselves, always wanting to point the finger.
