Tess Explains It All

OMG, I’m sitting at work and out of nowhere my dream from last night pops into my head. I can’t even begin to express how real the dream felt.

Obviously, like most dreams, I don’t remember every exact detail. But I do remember I got proposed to. ha! A guy who was just a friend (I can’t remember his face or who he was) proposed to me very surprisingly. And I said yes. I was at a party with mutual friends when he proposed and I just remember I couldnt stop looking down at my left hand and seeing the ring there. The ring was very simple but pretty and I remmeber not being IN LOVE with it…but being satisfied with it. After feeling completely overwhelmed by the thought of marriage and the fact that I FINALLY had an engagement ring on, I excused myself from the party and went down to the bar in the lobby by myself. I sat at the bar… completely frazzled and when the bartender asked what I wanted I ordered a shot of jameson with a coke back. hahaha He gave me a weird look, somehow knowing I had just said yes to a marriage proposal, and poured me the shot.

And this is where the dream goes from somewhat realistic to not at all. Next thing I know John Slattery (Mad Men) is sitting next to me and we go from chatting to passionately making out. I had just gotten proposed to by a sweet innocent man and I was already making out with another guy! lol lol So so strange, I tell ya. What does it mean, what does it mean?? The dream was weird though because I do remember feeling completely happy about the engagement and completely freaked out at the same time. Dreams are sooooo strange!!
