Dream

I had the most real dream I’ve ever had in my life last night. I can’t stop thinking about it because it was SO real. And it was unlike any other dream I’ve ever had. It’s not one of those dreams where you’re watching yourself and it feels like your watching your life. In this dream I couldnt see myself. I was in my brain, feeling and seeing all the things from a first person point of view.

So I looked up what my dream could have meant. I discovered the following:

**To dream that someone is shooting you with a gun, suggests that you are experiencing some confrontation in your waking life. You may be feeling victimized in some situation.

**To dream that you are shot, and are feeling the sensations of dying, denotes that you are to meet unexpected abuse from the ill feelings of friends, but if you escape death by waking, you will be fully reconciled with them later on. To dream that a preacher shoots you, signifies that you will be annoyed by some friend advancing views condemnatory to those entertained by yourself.

I really appreciate anyone who is able to sit infront of Bill O’Reilly and in so many words pretty much say “Guess what? Your views and the views of Fox News can be ridiculous, unsupported, igonorant and biased.”

John Stewart did just that in this interview. And I LOVEEEE it! Boo-ya!! “That’s a rap term”

Rant.

You don’t have to be into the Royal Wedding, you could even care less. But it’s really annoying when people have to bring down other people that do find it exciting and fun to watch. Guess what…you don’t look cool by saying “There’s a wedding? I had NO idea” or “Thank God the wedding is over! Now let’s get back to real issues of the world!”

Yes people…there are other issues going on in the world. Some devasting, some serious some awful…but that does not mean that you have to talk crap on those who are excited about something romantic and good. Why is it so wrong to be excited about an event that happens every few decades??

Get over it people. Just let people be happy and talk about something good for once. We can discuss the tragedies tomorrrow as we do every single day.

Thinking of you…

Today I was going about my day… the usual routine. Just got out of the shower and was getting ready to curl up in bed for the night when my phone dinged. I glanced at it without thinking twice…and there were three words that stopped my heart. “Derek Jensen’s Birthday”. My dear friend DJ …who I lost far too soon. The facebook notification on my phone reminding me that today would be his birthday.

Such a cruel world to have such good people taken away. My heart hurts when I think about him. I miss him.

No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind

but

I went to the Mark Taper Forum tonight to see the play “Burn This” . I had no idea what it was going to be about since I scored these tickets last minute from a client of mine. It was so nice to do something different and finally get to see the Music Center downtown. I have been meaning to go but hadn’t gotten the chance until today. The whole area was gorgeous… I absolutely loved it.

Since I did theater class all throughout high school I was immediately excited when the play began. The theater is smaller and very intimate and our seats were perfect. All the memories of acting and putting on plays came rushing back to me and I realized how much I’ve missed watching and being a part of live theater.

The play was very enjoyable. The story was about the accidental death of a great dancer and how his roommates were coping with their loss. It was funny, emotional, and the actors did an amazing job of keeping the audience entertained. Each character was strong and unique.

I randomly came across this song and had completely forgotten about it. It was one of my favorites when I was younger. Love the lyrics.
