The Golden Globes this year was the funniest awards show that I’ve seen in a long time.
Highlights of the night include:
- Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s opening speech
- Tina Fey dissing Taylor Swift
- Glenn Close pretending to be drunk
- Amy Poehler pretending to have a romantic moment with George Clooney
- Jodie Foster’s speech
- Bill Clinton getting a standing ovation
- HBO’s Girls winning Best Comedy and Lena Dunham winning best actress in Girls
- Lena Dunham thanking Chad Lowe in her acceptance speech
- Kristin Wiig and Will Ferrell
The Golden Globes will be a hard act to follow. It was so much fun! You could just hear everyone in the audience roaring with laughter all night long.

Not a good week for Ms. Spears. Not only did she officially announce she will be leaving XFactor to work on her next studio album, but TMZ is reporting that her and Jason Trawick have broken up.
Even though she seemed very stable with him, I always felt their relationship was forced and she never really loved him. So this could be a good thing for her. I hope she can find real love in 2013!

Another new show that premiered tonight was Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules– a spin off from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
I’ve been to this restaurant Sur in LA a bunch of times so I was excited to see a TV show about it. It’s only been one episode (and I said this about Start-Ups Silicon Valley and never tuned in again after the premiere) but I like it! I’m a sucker for Los Angeles and I love to see tv shows about the city and the beautiful 20something year olds that live here trying to make it.
Yes the show is just about petty and gorgeous people serving at a restaurant and trying to make it famous in Hollywood at the same time… but so far… it intrigues me a bit. Maybe it’s because that Jax guy is so hot.
We’ll see how the rest of the season goes.

The new season of ABC’s The Bachelor premiered tonight and the producers answered every girl’s prayers by casting Sean Lowe as the next bachelor. We all fell in love with him when we met him on Emily’s season of The Bachelorette. He is the all American boy that girls picture when they imagine what they want their husbands to act, be and look like.
The first episode was filled with epic moments. One girl attemped to do back flips and fell on her head, another girl sang to him, one girl taught him a personal handshake that was 3 steps too long, one girl had one arm, and to top it off one girl showed up in a wedding dress and mouth raped him. Which just goes to show you there are no rules in dating. Some may say these acts seem desperate and crazy. Some may say it earns you a rose!
My favorites so far are AshLee, Desiree, and Tierra, . But after seeing what’s going to happen in the upcoming episodes, we can cross Tierra off my list of favorites. Why are some gorgeous girls so evil? It’s like God blessed you with perfect looks, why do you have to go mess it up and look so ugly when you act bitchy? Sheesh.
I honestly feel like Sean is a 10 and these girls are 7s…8s at most. They should have had a bunch of Emily Maynards running around for him.
I don’t read spoilers so I’m excited to see who he picks in the end!

Rumor has it that Britney Spears will be fired from her X-Factor gig.
This comes as no surprise to fans and viewers who watched this last season of X-Factor. Britney contributed nothing but one sentence critiques and comments like “that’s amazing” the entire show. Her comments were awkward and she looked uncomfortable the entire time.
Even the legendary Britney Spears couldn’t perform the way her fans, Simon, and X-Factor producers hoped she would. What’s in store next for Britney now that this is over? New music? Acting? Nothing at all? We’ll see!!
UPDATE: Many people are saying: “Britney isn’t getting fired! She was only supposed to do one season!” Uh huhhhh…keep telling yourself that. If she had rocked it she would have definitely been signed on for another season. No question. She just didn’t deliver.
