“Dear Fans,
I haven’t sat down to write you guys in SUCH a long time. Long overdue! We’re all so used to getting our thoughts out in 140 characters, but sometimes its nice to take time to sit down and write something a little longer and more personal. I am putting the finishing touches on my new album, “Britney Jean” over the next few days and I am so excited for you to hear it. I poured my heart and soul into this album and it’s been an incredible journey. I’ve learned a lot about myself, and as I am finishing, I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years. Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey and for allowing me to do what I love to do. I can’t believe this is my eighth studio album and I know I keep telling you that it is my most personal record yet, but its true and I’m really proud of that.
I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to. Working with people like Sia, William Orbit, and of course Will.i.am has been an amazing experience. They have listened to all of my ideas and helped me bring them to life. There are a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs, but it was important to me that I show my strength, and my attitude, and my vulnerability. Of course, I also have some surprises for you guys.
I want to show you the different sides of Britney Spears. I am a performer. I am a Mom. I am funny. I am your friend! I am Britney Jean.

The new Christina Grey of 50 Shades of Grey has been cast!!!
His name is Jamie Dornan and he’s a super hot Irish actor.
I dont know a thing about him. All I have to go on is this link buzzfeed did about him that shows a million hot photos.
Even though Charlie Hunnam was my #1 choice and I’m beyond devastated he dropped out of the role, I can get on board with this guy taking over. I’m glad they cast a good looking unknown actor.
No one will ever compare to Charlie Hunnam and bring to the role the hotness and perfection that he would have but what can ya do?

Last night I went to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and it was such a great time. It was only my second time ever going there and the Bowl is just beyond fun for a concert. You forget how magical it feels until you’re in it.
It was a benefit concert for the Young Survival Coalition (an organization raising money for young women battling breast cancer) and the lineup was Katy Perry, Tegan and Sara, Sara Bareilles, Ellie Goulding, Bonnie McKee and Kasey Muskgraves. Amazing right?? What a show!!
One of my favs of the night was Sara Bareilles. You always hear her songs on the radio but you don’t realize how amazing her voice is until you see her live. And she sang Gravity which is seriously one of my favorite songs ever and I just LOVED getting to hear it live.
Katy Perry came out and sang a few old hits and a few new songs. Everyone was on their feet singing and dancing. When she sang her new song By The Grace Of God I fell in love immediately.
The show ended with all the artists coming out to sing Katy Perry’s “Roar” together and it was a great way to end the show!

RCA Records Exec: “Britney Jean” Will Be One Of The Biggest Fourth Quarter Albums This Year
Lots of exciting things happening over at RCA records this holiday season and Billboard spoke to Peter Edge, CEO of RCA and had this to say on Britney’s 8th studio album.
Edge: We’re feeling really good about the Britney album. We’re not quite sure how the credits are gonna be, but Will.i.am’s really the main creative on the album — but he won’t be the only one. He has a lot of great songs. There’s a song we feel fairly strong will be the second single called “Perfume.” It was written by Sia and could be a big career song. It’s more of a downtempo song, but people are amazed at the quality of her vocals on it. She sings it beautifully and it has a real sincerity to it. And it’s outstanding — I think people are not only gonna be surprised but also see another side of Britney. There’s a lot more personal content on this album than we’ve seen from her in the past.
