It’s our last hoo-rah before summer comes to an end.
Who can believe summer is over?!?!! I sure can’t because I barely have a tan and there is still so much bike riding, beach/pool laying, day drinking I need to do!!

Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance with Robin Thicke had all the makings of a celebrity sex scandal — and she’s receiving harsh criticism for it. But one psychologist and mother of teenagers has to wonder: is it our place to judge?

Smart article written about Miley Cyrus’ performance at this year’s VMAs. I was watching The Today Show the other morning and they had a few moms on there that were just SO angry at Miley Cyrus for her sexual performance. I totally understand it was embarrassing and obnoxious and gross, but the whole excuse mom’s use of “She’s a bad role model! My daughter doesn’t need to see those things!” should not be blamed on Miley. If you don’t want your daughter seeing it, then don’t let her watch MTV. And if you didnt expect to see an inappropriate performance on MTV so you let your kids watch and now you regret it, well lesson learned! I watched plenty of sexual “bad” performances growing up and I don’t think that made me a lesser woman or make bad decisions in life. You watch it, make an opinion of it, and move on. If you think your daughter is going to change her morals based on a poor VMA performance then it’s probably more of an issue with your parenting skills overall.
