I’m so glad Avril Lavigne made this her next single. I really hope it’s a hit. It’s such a good song. No one does sad breakup/love songs like she does. (So Much For My Happy Ending, When You’re Gone, I’m With You..etc. )

Check out her new music video for “Wish You Were Here” . Simple but so interesting. Love!

“There’s too much money here. Nobody should be hitting lotto for $36 million and we got people starving in the streets. That is not idealistic, that’s just real. […] There’s no way! There’s no way that these people should own planes and there are people that don’t have houses, apartments, shacks, drawers, pants! I know you’re rich, I know you got $40 billion, but can you can keep it to one house? You only need one house. And if you only got two kids, can you just keep it two rooms? Why have 52 rooms and you know there’s somebody with no room! It just don’t make sense to me.”

Is there…

a category in the Guinness Book of World Records for being single the longest? Because I’m pretty sure I would be on it.

Wow! Check out Lindsay Lohan! This is the first time in months I’ve actually seen her looking decent. Here she is leaving the Byron & Tracey hair salon in Beverly Hills. I wish she’d get rid of this blonde hair, but at least here it looks good.

I finished reading The Help over the holiday weekend. I was able to get through it pretty fast since I was traveling and there really is no better place to read than the airport and when you’re on a plane.
I loved this book. It took me back to a place and a time that I only know about from history books. I could not imagine growing up in Jackson, Mississippi in the 60s where racism was still going strong. All I could do was shake my head in shock with the way people use to think back then. Separate bathrooms for different races, separate drinking fountains, separate neighborhoods…the inequality of it all is just so sad.
The author did a great job in portraying all the different characters. Each characters’ story was so interesting I didn’t want to put the book down. I can’t wait to see the movie now!
