One Drink Date

What are your thoughts on a first date that only lasts 1 drink?

I pretty much set it up as a failure. ha

In my opinion, if you’re getting to know someone, it should definitely last longer than 1 drink (1 hour). The sign that someone is interested and the date is going well is when the bartender comes around and asks if you’d like another round and the both of you say yes.

Now I’m not saying the two of you should get trashed and have 3-4 drinks and start taking shots. Two drinks… maaaaybe 3 …means things are looking up!

I was recently on a date that was going pretty well for a first date. Conversation was flowing and there was an attraction. The only 2 elements you need on a first date. We both sipped our glasses of wine slowly and talked and talked and talked. I could have chugged it back in 20 minutes but I appreciated the fact that we were both taking our time. haha

But…the guy soon pulled the “I just found out I have to get some work done tonight.” and I became aware that this was his cop out; A reason to end the date early. This date would only be lasting for one drink.
I respect that he played it as slighly as he could and that he paid 😉
But girls out there should just know, if the date only lasts an hour, he’s just not that into you.

Justin Bieber released his new single “Boyfriend” yesterday and I couldn’t WAIT to hear it.
At first… I didn’t love it. I just liked it. I thought his voice sounded identical to Justin Timberlake and I like my artists to have their own sound.  I also thought the rapping was a tad unnecessary and corny.

Flash forward to hours later as the song kept being played on every radio station in LA and it really started to grow on me. I still think all those same thoughts about the song, but “Boyfriend” is just too good not to love. I love the opening beat, it’s so different than anything you hear right now on the radio. And Bieber’s soothing J.Timberlake voice is undeniable. You cant help but love it.

I saw The Hunger Games opening weekend and I can’t even express how delighted I was. It feels like just yesterday I was blogging about the books and posting who was cast for the movie. It seemed March 23rd would never get here. But March 23rd did arrive and I couldnt WAIT to see how this amazing story would translate on film.

Luckily, director Gary Ross did the book justice. I haven’t researched a lot of bad reviews of the film but I can’t possibly think of one bad thing you could say about it. The movie had everything you could ask for. The characters were all believable, the set for all the districts and the capitol were exactly how I envisioned it and the film stayed true to the book. A-mazing.

My favorite part was the final scene with Rue. It was so powerful! I cried my eyes out. Cinna was also my favorite character. Lenny Kravitz did such an amazing job with him. I loved him and every moment him and Katniss shared.

I’m completely in love with this movie. So so so so so happy it did the book justice!!

Ohhhh snap. Shit just got real in this new Real Housewives of New Jersey trailer.

So pretty much everyone hates Teresa now. Here’s the thing. I dont like Teresa either. Her and I would not be friends…maybe just acquaintances. BUT what people need to realize with Teresa is that she’s not very smart and she has jealousy problems. That is the root of ALL the drama the other women have with her. When you have those two factors in a person, jealousy and stupidity, nothing will ever make sense and the drama will just escalate and be completely unnecessary.

It’ll be very interesting to see everything unfold this season.

Considering how tired I am right now I’m surprised I feel so upbeat… maybe it’s the current coffee high.

But I wanted to write a quick blog about life. And how great I think life is! My friend is turning another year older this weekend and I was thinking to myself how great it is to see all the people around me that I care about growing up! It may seem silly but it’s just so interesting watching friends you’ve grown up with turn into whoever it is they are turning into! ha

Every year I am truly thankful for turning another year older and the life I’ve lived so far. And I’m grateful for every laugh, tear, hard day, happy day… all the ups and downs. It’s all worth it.

I worked 11 hours with no real lunch break, I went to night class, I took a midterm that I didnt even KNOW about. Then I proceeded to take a quiz where I knew NONE of the answers. I came home. I watched tv, I made dinner, I cleaned my bathroom and I even dusted.

All in a day’s work! Take that Wednesday! Boo-ya!
