I don’t know about you but I am VERY excited for this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. I can tell it’s going to be an epic show with performances from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Macklemore and maybe even NSync!!!!
Watch this new promo for the VMAs. It’s hot. I love Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Can’t wait for the show!

Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance with Robin Thicke had all the makings of a celebrity sex scandal — and she’s receiving harsh criticism for it. But one psychologist and mother of teenagers has to wonder: is it our place to judge?

Smart article written about Miley Cyrus’ performance at this year’s VMAs. I was watching The Today Show the other morning and they had a few moms on there that were just SO angry at Miley Cyrus for her sexual performance. I totally understand it was embarrassing and obnoxious and gross, but the whole excuse mom’s use of “She’s a bad role model! My daughter doesn’t need to see those things!” should not be blamed on Miley. If you don’t want your daughter seeing it, then don’t let her watch MTV. And if you didnt expect to see an inappropriate performance on MTV so you let your kids watch and now you regret it, well lesson learned! I watched plenty of sexual “bad” performances growing up and I don’t think that made me a lesser woman or make bad decisions in life. You watch it, make an opinion of it, and move on. If you think your daughter is going to change her morals based on a poor VMA performance then it’s probably more of an issue with your parenting skills overall.

Well I just watched the NSync performance again. And I just can’t get enough. It’s a glorious 110 seconds. lol
And every time I see the part at the very end where JC sings “baby baby baby” I laugh. No idea what was running through his head. I wish I knew. And did you guys know when all the guys went back down under the stage after their performance, Chris Kirkpatrick’s hole didnt work? And he didnt get lowered? hahhhaha Oh man. Good stuff…

The girls looked great at the MTV VMAs last night. They’ve got their A Game on so let’s just hope their new single Rage will be as good as they look. I looooove them!!!

JC Chasez calls into Ryan Seacrest!
JC called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Monday morning to fill him in on how the whole NSync reunion came about.
“You know, it was a matter of time. Everybody would ask us, ‘When are you guys going to do something?’” JC explains. “First of all, it was the worst kept secret ever, [but] Justin gave me a buzz and he said, ‘Hey man, listen. I’m getting this award and they have given me a pile of time to perform and we started our careers at MTV and I think we should get the band back together.’”
I love that Justin reached out to the guys. I always felt like he was the one preventing them from doing any type of reunion tour. But it’s clear that Justin remembers his roots and still loves the guys that brought him to where he is today.
So how was it when the 5 guys got together to rehearse?
“Literally, two minutes after seeing everybody you feel like no time has passed,” JC admits. “Essentially everybody has remained the same and we all see each other at different times … but this was the first time we had a rehearsal together in 10 years, so everyone was going, ‘Can we go through this one more time slowly?’… so that part was pretty funny.”
JC also goes on to explain how the reunion wasn’t an easy secret to keep. “When J called me he’s like, ‘Lets really make it a treat and let’s not tell anybody,” says JC, laughing. “I don’t know if there are cameras in the ceiling or whatever but … we were in rehearsal and Lance walked in and said, ‘Well everybody knows know’… and we were like, ‘How in the world did they figure it out?!’”
Could you imagine if viewers literally had NO idea there was going to be a reunion and then all of a sudden at last night’s show Nsync rose to the stage?? It was too much to handle knowing it was going to happen, I can’t even imagine how emotional it would have been not knowing. lol

I would not be surprised if this years’ MTV Video Music Awards broke records regarding the number of viewers it had. The show was THAT GOOD. It was also perfect timing for an awards show with new music coming from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Miley Cyrus.
And on top of that, the NSync hype got MANY people tuned in. My friend who currently moved to NY and watched the show before me texted me “damn, LA might not get the VMAs back. They’re killin it in Brooklyn.” to which I replied “No, Brooklyn just got lucky. Music is epic right now.”
I just think people are really excited in regards to music at the moment. It’s a much stronger energy than it’s been in the past.
I was impressed with every performance tonight. And blown away by JT’s mini concert. It was probably the best VMAs since 2000-2003.

To start off the 2013 MTV VMAs Lady Gaga performed her new single Applause.
She changed into 3 different wigs and 3 different outfits and just when you think “okay this performance is good…nothing major.” Gaga changes into a thong and dances around and you’re like “whoa! there’s her ass!”
At least she’s got a rockin bod.
